Breakout Escape Room—an exciting new concept in the attractions industry—approached our team to help establish their online presence. They needed a website that would both introduce guests to the escape room experience and enable seamless, efficient online booking across web and mobile platforms.
A key part of Breakout’s business model was franchising the brand, attractions, and digital solutions to new partners—so it was essential that both the website and booking software were built to scale effortlessly across multiple global locations.
As part of the product discovery phase, our team conducted in-depth research into the escape room concept to fully understand the guest experience and how best to communicate it. Our goal was to educate and excite potential visitors through a custom-built website that not only informed but also inspired—and ultimately helped drive conversions. With insights in hand, we moved into prototyping the core marketing site, preparing it for development.
After working with the Breakout team to understand their scheduling and booking needs, we explored third-party platforms for a quick integration—only to find none met the specific demands of escape rooms or the wider attractions industry. Seeing a clear gap in the market, we set out to build our own solution: Resova—a scalable, purpose-built SaaS platform we could grow and own.
Breakout Games launched their first venue in Manchester, UK, supported by a custom-built website and seamless integration with our proprietary booking SaaS solution—accessible across both desktop and mobile. Since then, they’ve expanded to multiple UK locations, franchised globally, and delivered immersive experiences to millions of guests and corporate clients worldwide. Today, Breakout proudly ranks among the top 10 Fun & Games experiences in Manchester on TripAdvisor and continues to welcome thousands of players through its doors.
